RESERVATIONS: A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation tariff is required within 14 days of booking to confirm your reservation. Where the deposit is unpaid after 14 days, Highland Valley Cottages reserves the right to cancel you booking without further notice to you. The balance will be required upon arrival. All units are strictly non-smoking.
PAYMENT: Direct deposit is our preferred method of payment, details are; ANZ Bright, account name: Greg & Christel Hertz, BSB: 013545, Account: 458115862. Visa and Mastercard credit / debit cards are accepted. Cheques are only accepted with prior approval of the management. CANCELLATIONS: Monies will be refunded (less 10% of total tariff charged) where cancellation is notified in writing, 30 days or more prior to arrival date. If less than 30 days notice is given no monies will be refunded unless the property can be rebooked. We recommend that you take travel insurance to cover against cancellation penalties due to involuntary cancellation. If you shorten your stay the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.
BOOKING DEFERRAL: Subject to property availability, a booking may be deferred to an alternative date within the season of the original booking date. Tariff increases due to date changes will apply. Tariff decrease due to date changes will be subject to the Cancellation Clause. Please note that once the booking has been moved the booking forfeits any future cancellation options. Highland Valley Cottages retains the right to negotiate the tariff or length of stay to obtain a booking on a cancelled booking as we deem necessary.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: The person making the reservation and paying the required tariff to Highland Valley Cottages is deemed responsible for the care and security of the property during the period of their stay in the property. A valid Visa or Mastercard credit card number must be lodged with Highland Valley Cottages prior to or on arrival. Any loss / damage to property and fittings, cleaning deemed excessive in accordance with our standard cleaning time frames and /or late checkout will result in the amount applicable being deducted from the credit card. A receipt will be forwarded to your postal address.
CHECK IN TIME: Check in time is from 2.00pm unless prior arrangements have been made. Please be aware that whilst we will make every effort to have your property ready by this time however in busy periods this is not always possible and check in may be delayed.
CHECK OUT TIME: Check out time is no later than 10.00am. A fee of $25 per hour or part thereof will be charged for late departures, which have not been arranged with management at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.
TARIFF REDUCTIONS: There will be no tariff reductions for failure of appliances within the property that do not affect the safe and hygienic use of the property. Defective appliances will be repaired / replaced as soon as practicable.
PETS: Highland Valley does not accommodate pets (guide dogs excepted), but there is a kennel and cattery just a few kilometres from Bright.
